More school pics...

1st day of school!!!

So the boys started preschool today. Of course they were super excited, but I got to the car and sat there for a minute.....didn't cry, but almost! I was so sad my babies are turning into little boys right before my eyes. They ran in with so much excitement....Aidan grabbed my leg for me to come in, but didn't cry.....just wanted me to come see the exciting things. Alex was like "peace out lady". It was a great day and they had so much fun. They LOVE their teacher and the assistant. What a blessing to have such a wonderful school to send them to. We are truly blessed to be able to give them this opportunity.
What did I do after I sat in the car....drove home and scrapped OF COURSE!!! My sweet friends Sian and Traci came over for 3 wonderful hours of scrapbook time!
It was a fun day!

Mother's Day 2009

Here we are where it all began. We went to brunch @ Champions Gate. This is where Jose and I were married. The exact spot of our ceremony. It was funny to stand here with our two precious little ones and remember that day it all began. The brunch was great, the kids were good....what a great day!

30...and lovin' it!

For my 30th birthday, my sweet husband took me to Niagara Falls & Toronto. We toured Rogers Center of course (home of the Jays and another one to cross off the baseball tour) and ate great Thai food. We had a great time @ the falls despite the freezing & rainy weather. Toronto is an amazing city & the falls were a spectacular site even as we were getting soaked by the mist!
I think this picture says everything about how I feel these days. Blessed beyond measure from the comfort and strength the Lord has given me through all of those in my life, especially my husband. I am blessed to be able to walk this great journey of life with him. Most would say that 30 is this depressing realization that life isn't just a party, but work, kids, and real life. For me it is the complete opposite. I have realized that everyday is a party and a true gift. No matter how hard, or crazy, or tough things get...it is that moment that I celebrate all Christ has done for me. I love being 30....it reminds me that I am fortunate to have had all of those days to celebrate. I look forward to the parties of cleaning poop off of whatever Aidan has decided to put it on.... listening to Alex boss Aidan around and listening to both of them pray. I'm 30...and lovin' it.

We love our new slippers!

Jose turns 30

What a special day....we got a swing set and he worked. Ok, so not an over the top day, but he did get a great gift I don't know ....like 3 months ago?! Seattle was his birthday gift, but We did celebrate at the house with a cookie cake (of course) and his family.
Jose is an amazing man. Saint Jose as my dad would call him. He is an amazing father and a man of integrity & compassion. It is amazing how God created him special for me. He is my best friend and a wonderful partner on this journey of life. I am so honored to be called his wife and blessed to share my life with him.

Family pics...

What an adventure! Well, anything with the twins is an adventure, but especially getting everyone to look happy at the same time......that deserves a serious prize! We went to a portrait place and were on a very strict budget. We all know that the scrapbooker in me needs to have every picture ever taken of my children, so I told myself I was going to pick one pose and one pose only. I thought it would be hard to choose, so I really went in with the mentality that I would just let the rest go. So what happened.....well....Aidan made it very easy to choose. I did not want this background, but this is where they started and said we would try the other ones after. 5 shots and Aidan was waving at the people like he was in a parade...."all done.....all done" and headed straight for the door. Needless to say it was not that difficult to choose our family shot b/c he was DONE after the ugly Christmas background. Oh well, we are all smiling and that's what counts, right?!

Puerto Rico comes to town!

What a week! My abuelo, Titi Maritza, & cousins came to two visit from Puerto Rico. I haven't seen them in 5 years. Time has really gone by quickly. It was so nice to catch up and see each other and talk about old times. My abuelo is doing great for being 87 years old. What a trooper. My cousins have grown so much since the last time I saw them. Jose Manuel is a teenager, but looks like an adult! What a blessing to be able to spend time with them.

Thanksgiving

What an amazing day! Another year of reflecting on how very thankful we are. This year, it was our turn to host Thanksgiving at our house. It was quite the puzzle trying to get everyone to be able to sit at one consistent table. We managed to fit all 23 of us @ one running table. I must say it is so nice to be able to have both of our families get along so well. It is truly a blessing.
